Malhotra Family Foundation Showcases the Power of Charitable Giving in Ottawa Malhotra Family Foundation: Build, Grow, Share
While fitness centers are usually packed with people running, lifting and stretching, tomorrow night, Ottawa’s Soma Health & Fitness Club will be transformed into a venue of mixing and mingling to raise money for breast cancer research.
Tomorrow night, 300 of Ottawa’s most fashionable philanthropists will attend the new SHARE party hosted by the Malhotra Family Foundation at Soma Health & Fitness. The Malhotra Family Foundation is the new charitable arm of Claridge Homes and the Foundation expects that this first-time fundraiser will raise a significant amount of money and awareness for the Ottawa Regional Cancer Foundation, in particular support of their breast cancer research division.
“We’re looking forward to a fabulous evening of cocktails, nibbles, and a packed dance floor tonight,” says the Foundation’s Co-Founder Louise Malhotra. “We’re thrilled to be able to throw our fundraising support behind such an important community resource as the Ottawa Regional Cancer Foundation. Their valuable work directly impacts the women in our community who are battling breast cancer and provides local access to the latest technology and research in the field. We hope this event will bring attention to the wonderful work they do and ultimately show our support for the women in Ottawa who are courageously battling breast cancer.”
The Malhotra Family Foundation thinks big and has already proven that it is a force to be reckoned with when it comes to charitable giving in Ottawa. The newly established Foundation has had an incredible first year of fundraising success with their inaugural golf tournament, raising $250,000 for the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario. Next year’s tournament will be in support of The Boys and Girls Club of Ottawa and will be held on May 29, 2012 at the Eagle Creek Golf Club.
